Social Media 101 for Housing Advocates

Date:
Thursday, January 21st, 2016 from 11:45am to 12:30pm
Location:
Online or in-person at Seattle University

Learn to use your social media skills to advocate for affordable housing and other social-justice issues in this free online training. You can also join our co-presenters at Seattle University to watch the training, followed by an hour of in-person training.

It’s our fourth annual Social Media 101 for Housing Advocates Google+Hangout. Get ready for Housing & Homelessness Advocacy Day, Feb. 2, and for advocacy all year long!

Two experts in social media for advocacy — Reiny Cohen of Washington Low Income Housing Alliance and Kizha Davidson of YWCA Seattle |King| Snohomish — will share tips and tricks to boost your online advocacy skills.

Watch the Hangout from your desktop, laptop, or mobile device, from anywhere in Washington state. Or, if you want a more hands-on approach, join our partners at Seattle U; you’ll watch the Hangout with other advocates, then talk about what you’ve just learned and put your skills to use.

The Hangout is an annual partnership between Firesteel, Seattle University and Washington Low Income Housing Alliance. Hundreds of advocates have participated in this session since the first Hangout in 2013. Register today!
