At a weekly support group for African-American survivors of domestic violence, the facilitator once asked the women why they were reluctant to report domestic violence to police. Among the many reasons was that the women feared being blamed for the domestic violence situation. As the case of Marissa Alexander shows, they have good reason to be afraid.

Infographic: How the Housing Trust Fund Helps End Homelessness

The Housing Trust Fund is our state's best tool for creating and maintaining affordable housing. A couple of years ago, we teamed up with the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance to create an infographic explaining how the fund works. The graphic was such a good way to break down a complex issue that we decided to update it and bring it back this year!
